Thames

This squat’s not getting any warmer, underneath that darkened London sky.
The leak in the roof is getting worse. I hear it dripping all night. And I can’t bring myself to get out of bed, or even open up my eyes. These dark crowded streets are haunting me, try to drag me down to the Thames so I can jump inside.
And I’ll sink down underneath, while the top freezes with ice two feet thick. I’m even drowning in my dreams. I want to float to the top so they can bury me.
I don’t think I can take this much longer, feels like I’m holding my breath. This squat feels like it bound to collapse with every bus that passes. And I have seen a better way for us to live. But will you take my hand and follow me back to the wilderness?
Otherwise we’ll sink down underneath, while the top freezes with ice two feet thick. Even drowning in my dreams, I want to float to the top so they can bury me.
Well I know that you might be comfortable in your own misery, but I’m going back to the woods whether or not you follow me. And I’ll be there among the trees on out on my own, but if you stumble down my trail well you’re welcome to call this home.

Passion For Freedom
05:18

They’re trapped in this life nobody seems to cares about, their fate lies now in our hands The truth is hard, these creatures aren’t viewed as anything, except monetary wealth. Their suffering is being ignored. To those that feed them it’s just a job. You and their masters tell yourselves that it’s for the best, that it’s not so bad
But our passion for freedom shows us this suffering nobody deserves.
They can increase their prison space or better their treatment,
But these chains and fences need to break, for all enslaved.
Each of them is a victim of this system that puts profit over life and alienates all solidarity. This is the system we grew up in, yet somehow we learned to disagree. We dedicate our lives to vegan justice, put our anger into action, into practical solutions. These are consequences all exploiters have to face, we show our solidarity with every suppressed species and race.
Because our passion for freedom shows us this suffering nobody deserves
They can increase their prison space and better their treatment,
but these chains and fences need to break, for all enslaved.
We choose our actions within our reach.
We plan our tactics carefully.
We don’t fear government repression.
Our means are limitless, they’ve only got prison.

One Species

And I scream, cause each one of them there is a part of me.
And I rage, cause Im locked with them inside that cage.
Cause I dont see a difference between the multitude of species. They feel pain I feel pain. They all just want to live. Just like me.
And when are we going to see, that theres no difference in suffering.
One species, were all the same.
Were all sentient beings.
When they bleed I bleed.
And when they scream I scream.
When they are abused theyre doing it to me and you.
And if you want peace then we have to stop supporting.
And when are we going to see, that theres no difference in suffering.
One species, were all the same.
Were all sentient beings.
And how long are we going to go on, with the abuses?
Go vegan, cause the animals dont need your petty excuses.
Imagine if it was your baby that they were taken away.
Imagine if it was your life all your brothers and sisters intensely confined.
Could you imagine being boiled alive?
Could you imagine being slaughtered just for your hid?
Could you imagine being viewed just as a product and in the end being senselessly murdered?
And when are we going to see that theres no difference in suffering?
One species, were all the same.
Were all sentient beings.
And when are we going to see that theres no difference in suffering.
One species were all the same.
Were all trying to avoid pain.

Be The Change

Watch your TV and kill your brain.
Drink your beer and point the blame.
Smoke your cigarettes down to the stubs.
Getting trashed like a bunch of slobs.
You complain about the government and everything they say,
But don't you realize with your Anheuser Busch and Phillip Morris you're buying in?
Go to school, go to work, go to sleep, pay your rent.
Don't you see you're turning out like your parents?
Go to college, get a job, and buy a house and drive a car.
If you're lucky take your revolution and addictions along.
Have your life with all your thrills pay your taxes pay your bills.
Put yourself deeper into the grave.
Buy the shit that you don't need. Plant the corporate seed.
Can't you see you're keeping yourself enslaved?
Well I don't want to be part of your hypocrisy.
Cause I don't wanna support the things I say I hate,
cause that would make a hypocrite out of me.
See the protesters standing on the street, said they're fighting against global warming.
Then they jump into their cars and they drive away, I guess it's alright to support the things you say you hate.
I see the abortion doctors laying there in their blood, I hear the Christians screaming out "Well it's gods love".
We've got the peace-keeping missiles for fear, cause were fighting this war on terrorism.
You want the world to change, but you're going to stay the same.
You can't expect anything in a world full of apathy.
Like in the famous words of Gandhi, "be the change in this world that you want to see" The revolution doesn't start with your neighbor, the revolution starts with me.
Without the government, without the legislation, without the senate hearings without conglomerations, without the congress man or womyn, without the lobbyist, without the house or representatives, or the president. Without governor, mayor, school board or police, state or county jurisdiction, without your family.
Cause this revolution starts with me.
Cause I've got to be the change that I want to see.
And this revolution starts with me,
Cause I've got to be the change that I want to see.

Judgement
03:37
|
|
||
Do you think your actions are beyond reproach? Do you think that I should just keep my mouth closed? Why must I respect your actions even though nothing about them is respectable? But then you say don’t judge me.
Don’t judge me.
Have you ever raised your fist to the flag? Have you ever cried out “fuck the government”? Have you ever said a war was criminal? Have you ever called a company despicable? Well that’s judgment.
I hear almost constantly, that my critical judgments must cease. With my words I’ll push them all away. Well that’s hard for me to hear when it’s coming from a kid with a circled A.
Well can you honestly tell me that you don’t see right and wrong?
Well can you honestly tell me that you don’t distinguish at all?
Well please forgive me if I’m not so indifferent, to the suffering death and cooperation with enslavement. Because complacency is a crime. You’re not neutral, you picked sides.
Well can you please forgive me for speaking what’s on my mind?
Well can you please forgive me for not being able to turn a blind eye?
Cause I can’t go on with the murdering and killing, raping and stealing, lying and cheating, because this heart of mine won’t stay silent.
And I’ve got to do something about these abuses, otherwise I’m useless, no more excuses, so please you’ll just have to forgive me for my judgment.
